What if I’ve never tried yoga?
Shri K Pattabhi Jois said it best…
“Anyone can practice. Young man can practice. Old man can practice. Very old man can practice. Man who is sick, he can practice. Man who doesn’t have strength can practice. Except lazy people; lazy people can’t practice ashtanga yoga.” – Yoga Mala
Mysore classes are the absolute best way for beginners to learn yoga.
If you like, feel free to come to one mysore class free of charge to observe.
Or contact Jude directly at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
Can I just go to the led classes?
Led classes are not for beginners. Students are invited to the led class when they have completed the standing sequence.
If you have a daily mysore practice and want to come to a led class, contact Jude.
How many days a week should I practice?
New students should attend a minimum of 3 mysore classes per week. Start here and work up to a higher level of commitment as you feel compelled.
It is traditional and recommended to practice six days a week.

Do I need to explain to my teacher when I will miss class?
Not for lady’s holidays. However, if you will miss a week or more of class, please let your teacher know.
What do I need to bring to class?
Bring a clean yoga mat, “Mysore rug”, and a small hand towel.
Do not bring any water bottles, props or personal belongings into the practice space.
